SPDA is a non-profitable, non-governmental and non-political humanitarian organization established in 2001 and registered on September 6th, 2004, with social welfare department. The Special Person Development Association established with the mandate to help Person with Disabilities (PWDs) for inclusion and to provide safe and accessible environment for participation. SPDA came in to being to help People with Disabilities, to promote their rights and rehabilitate the disabled persons of the community. About 3 million plus people are suffering from disabilities in KP and merged districts Pakistan. War against terrorism and polio virus existence in the region, increased the ratio of disability. From the last sixteen years SPDA is raising voice for the rights of People with Disabilities. The main focus of SPDA is to include person with disabilities in humanitarian actions, with specific focus on children with disabilities, women with disabilities and older people with disabilities. For instance, if a disaster occurs top priority would be given to the above mentioned groups which are the most vulnerable among them. Other are mentioned below;
